Inspired, Matt rose through the youth travel ranks himself, playing A-AAA hockey for various Indianapolis teams. He was fortunate to get drafted in the United States Hockey League (USHL) by the local team (Indiana Ice) where he played 2 seasons.

    TIP AND BEYOND

Absent from the hockey world for 3 years, Matt got back in by volunteering to coach a team for Omaha Hockey Club. Quickly, he realized he had found a new passion in his life.

“There’s no better feeling that teaching an athlete something, and watching their face light up after executing something they’ve never been able to do.”

After doing lessons on the side, Matt decided to create TIP Athlete Development Club, with the goal of helping more athletes reach their highest goals. He couldn’t do it alone, so he hand-selected his great team of instructors that bring the highest levels of knowledge, passion and love for the game.
