PARENT REVIEW

“TIP not only makes my son (16) a better hockey player on the ice, but off the ice as well. Their knowledge and expertise on the ice and ability to connect with my son on a personal level magnifies the growth and development he gets every time he is on the ice. This is the difference maker to helping my son prepare for and understand situations on the ice that he may not otherwise get exposure to. With TIP’s instruction and support, I have seen growth and development in my son’s all around hockey IQ and confidence.”

PARENT REVIEW

“Our son (16) has been training with Matt and his team for the past few years. They have built his skating and stick handling skills and expanded his hockey IQ.  More importantly however, TIP has developed him off the ice.  TIP’s approach to the whole athlete has given our son soft skills, like coachability, sportsmanship, resiliency, and mindfulness—things that not only make him a better hockey player, but a better human too.”

PLAYER REVIEW

“One-on-one coaching by TIP is a must if you want to be the best hockey player you can be.  From working on my edgework, deception and agility to focusing on shooting angles and puck-view shooting, TIP’s training techniques have helped me hone my hockey skills.  They work well with players of all ages and can explain things in a way that makes learning and executing the skills straightforward. You can’t get this kind of individual attention and fine tuning of your game in a practice or camp.  Without TIP’s expertise and commitment to my development, I wouldn’t be the hockey player I am today.”

HOCKEY ASSOCIATION REVIEW

“I have worked with TIP as President of the Omaha Hockey Club (OHC). We have contracted TIP to work with multiple groups within OHC, with a lot of focus on our younger players. We feel with the help of TIP and the support of the organization, parents, and other coaches we can continue to grow our organization to have a spot for everyone to play. We have very competitive travel teams as well as a lot of developmental programs within our organization. We hope that as OHC continues to grow, TIP will grow with us.  We couldn’t be happier with the development we have seen already and look forward to the future.”

PARENT REVIEW

“Carter (13) has been working with TIP coaches for over two years, and his growth as a player has been astronomical in that time. Carter started the game later than most within his birth year and was behind the players early on. He watched a lot of his teammates move up and he wanted to follow. Upon contacting TIP he shot up the ladder going from House to the A team in less than two seasons. His edge work, shooting, stick handling and every other aspect of the game continues to grow and faster than most at his age. We attribute this to the 1-on-1 work he gets with the coaches. This program has been one of the catalysts for Carter's development and we suggest it to anyone who asks. We are truly grateful to Coach Smith and the rest of the TIP team for believing in Carter and helping him pursue and reach his goals.”

PARENT REVIEW

“We have seen so much growth in our hockey player (15) since he started taking lessons through TIP. We can see his increased confidence on the ice, especially with skating, stick handling, puck protection and shooting. We recognize this is directly related to the one-on-one lessons he is doing. Our hockey player routinely comes off the ice and talks about a move/skill he did during a game that he learned or improved from lessons. All the TIP instructors are very encouraging and meet each player at their skill level, tap into their potential and push them to be their best. We enjoy the variety of coaches and appreciate that they each bring something unique to each lesson. TIP is definitely worth the investment!!”

PARENT REVIEW

“We have gotten to know Matt and the TIP group over the last few years. Our son Cooper (11) has worked with them quite a bit and we see huge developments in his all around hockey play as well as being a more coach-able player. Cooper is a very high energy player, and Matt and his team know how to foster that energy during lessons. We love all the coaches, and Coop is excited every time we are scheduled to hit the ice with TIP, which is a testament in itself.”
